Annie (Szteligo) Zaczkiewicz passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the age of 100. She was married for 35 years to her loving husband, Boleslaw Zaczkiewicz, until his death in 1974.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late John Szteligo and Katherine (Jajuga) Szteligo.
Annie was a life-long resident of Taunton and attended Taunton schools. She worked as an enameler at Chartley Enameling Co. and at Wells Jewelry Co. in Attleboro for several years.
Annie enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with her sisters, and most of all being with her children and grandchildren.
Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, walking and making puzzles. Annie was a communicant of the former Holy Rosary Church. She also enjoyed attending the annual Polish picnic.
Mrs. Zaczkiewicz is survived by her two daughters, Gail Costa and her husband David and Helen Fierra and her husband Robert, both of Taunton; six grandchildren, Elayne, Susan, Cheryl, Michelle, Mark, and Ted; and several great and great-great grandchildren. She also survived by her sister Emelia Menard and several nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her devoted son, Paul Zaczkiewicz and was the sister of the late Wanda O’Bryan, Stephanie Lynch, Stanley Szteligo, and James Szteligo.
The family wishes to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care provided to Annie by the staff at Kindred Hospice of Fall River.
At the request of the family, funeral services will be private and visiting hours will be respectfully omitted.
