Weronika Polanska

Weronika (Sznigier) Polanska , 85, of Taunton, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Marion Manor in Taunton.

Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Anna Sznigier.

She resided in Raynham from 1966 to 1968 then she moved to Taunton.

Weronika worked as a technician at the Foxboro Company for 40 years, retiring when she was 80 years old.

Mrs. Polanska was a former communicant of the Holy Rosary Church, enjoyed reading, working, and listening to classical music.

She is survived by her two sons, Andrew J. Polanski and his wife Susan of East Taunton; Roman Polanski and his wife Irena of Texas; her sister Teresa Arieta and husband James of Taunton; her grandchildren, Kristine Maskal, Gwenny Castillo and husband Vincent, Krzysiek Polanski, Arek Polanski and wife Cassy; great grandchildren  Sylver V. Asteria, the late Emma Elizabeth and Adam and Emilia Polanski.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Weronika’s family on Friday, February 17, 2023 , from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 9:30 am from the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, at Holy Rosary Church, 80 Bay Street, Taunton, followed by interment in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
