Anna (Rucka) Wasylyk , 91 years old, died in her home on Tuesday evening, March 1, 2016, surrounded by her loving and devoted family after a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by her husband Stanley Wasylyk, Anna has been a resident of Taunton since 1951.

Anna was a communicant of both St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Port, FL and St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Fall River. Anna was a seamstress for the former Robertson Curtain Factory for many years before retiring. Anna was a wonderful mother and totally devoted to her family; a giving person always thinking of others before herself.

She is the mother of Mary Wasylyk, Betty McMann and her husband Jim, Walter Wasylyk, all of Taunton, Michael Wasylyk and his wife Holly of Bonita Springs, FL and John Wasylyk and his wife Karen of Berkley. Anna is the grandmother of Laurie Roderick, Lynn Bagdasian, Jamie Wasylyk, Chelsie McMann, Courtney McMann and Christopher Wasylyk. She is also the great grandmother of five, and is also survived by siblings in Ukraine. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 339 Center Street, Fall River, MA on Saturday morning March 5, 2016 from 9 to 11 AM. A Mass will be celebrated in St. John Church at 11 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association  350 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210. The Sowiecki Funeral Home, 69 West Britannia St., Taunton is assisting the family with these arrangements.
