Caroline Johnson

Caroline Johnson was born on August 21, 1940, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to Ralph Cabbell and Mary Cabbell, who raised her with love and care. From a young age, Caroline possessed a warm heart and joyful spirit, and she carried those qualities with her throughout her life.

Caroline attended Plainfield High School and built a life centered around the people and traditions she treasured most. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—crocheting, catching a great sale while shopping, cooking, and bringing family together for the holidays.

Above all, Caroline cherished her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose compassion, laughter, strength, and love created memories that will remain with her family for generations.

Caroline leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Dalana Cobb and Christy Garry; her grandchildren, Christy Garry Jr., Yasin Cobb, Yakabir Cobb, Logan “Yamil” Cobb, Yahad Cobb, and Yakay Wright; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Johnson; her son, Tony Garry; and her siblings, Ralph Cabbell Jr., Florence Brown, Howard Cabbell, David Cabbell, Houston Cabbell, James Cabbell, and Vincent Cabbell.

Though Caroline’s physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the traditions she created, and the memories she shared will continue to live on. Her beautiful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

To honor her wishes, Caroline's funeral services were privately held.
