Dane Boom-Boom Jones , 27, of Warren, formerly of Canby, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 8, 2021. He was the loving husband of Jennifer (Stills) Black, of Warren.
Born in Milwaukie, Oregon, he was the son of Steven Black and Dana (Germany) Jones. However, Dane was raised by a village. From school counselors, coaches, friends, and their families. Dane settled on the Ross’ as his family of choice.
He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. After his discharge from the Marines, he worked as a delivery driver for the past couple of years.
Dane loved playing sports, especially football and basketball. Weightlifting and old trucks were a passion of his. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his daughters and dog, Beau.
Dane had an infectious smile that drew people into him. He was a protector of children and anyone at a disadvantage.
Besides his wife Jennifer, he leaves behind his two daughters, Mackenzie Black and Kyleigh St. Martin; his Mammy, Jewel Wallace and grandparents Becky and Daniel Taylor; Cindy Ross; Micayla Ross; several brothers and sisters; his uncle Nathan Black and aunt Erin Taylor; a brother in law, Gerald Stills; his mother in law, Kathi Garakop; and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Dane’s family on Sunday, October 17, 2021, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton, MA. His Interment will be privately held, and a memorial service will be held in Oregon at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Young Americas Foundation (YAF) www.yaf.org and would be deeply appreciated.
