Daniel Edward Moran, Sr., of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, passed away at his home on November 19, 2025. He was born to Francis T. Moran, Sr. and Elizabeth (Donovan) Case and was one of four siblings.

Dan served in the United States Army during two separate enlistments and received an honorable discharge following each period of service. His military record remains a notable part of his life.

After completing his service and during his service, Dan built a long professional career in nursing, dedicating himself to the care and treatment of patients across various healthcare environments.

He was the father of Christine, Sean, Jamie, and Anthony, stepfather of Zack and Zeth; and brother of Francis T. Moran, Jr. Dan was the father of the late Daniel E. Moran Jr. and brother of the late Patricia Pollock and Elizabeth Wilcox.

Dan had a long-standing interest in sports and enjoyed golf, both of which remained consistent throughout his adult years.

His passing marks the conclusion of an independent life defined by military service, work in nursing, and personal hobbies. .

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Dan’s interment and committal service with military honors on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm, in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, 661 Prospect Street, Pawtucket, RI.
