Listen to Obituary

Deborah ‘Debbie’ Rich, 69, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away on August 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, dedication and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, Debbie was the beloved daughter of Virginia and Walter Cormier. She spent her early years in Brockton, where she built lifelong friendships and cherished memories before making East Bridgewater her home in 2000.

Determined to create a successful future, Debbie proudly graduated from Burdette Business School in Boston. From there, Debbie served for many years as a client service manager at Ameriprise where she was admired for her professionalism, integrity, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence. These attributes, along with the joy of shopping for just the right business attire, carried throughout her life.

However, Debbie’s greatest pride and joy was her family. The beloved wife of Warren Rich Jr. and devoted mother to her two daughters Lori and Nicole Rich, Debbie was a constant source of guidance and wisdom. She used her love of cooking and hospitality to make the Rich home a place of comfort and joy for her family and her daughters' friends.

As a true New Englander, Debbie was always on the search for the best clam chowder. On her cherished annual trips to Truro on Cape Cod with her friends (Valerie Rodricks, Bernadette Colby, and Michelle Will), Debbie indulged in many bowls while enjoying the lasting friendships formed over the years.

Towards the end of her life and battling disease, Debbie was still a light in the Rich household. She was known to smile brightly and laugh joyously when her husband would arrive home, often with treats. And, she would still be a source of comfort for her two daughters as they spent quality time with her and cared for her.

Debbie was predeceased by her beloved parents, Virginia and Walter Cormier; her four brothers Edward, Donald, Thomas, and Jeffrey Cormier; her nephew Brad Cormier; and her great-niece Brittany Cormier.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband Warren Rich Jr., her daughters Lori Rich and Nicole Rich; her nephews Marc Cormier and William Rich Jr.; her beloved sister-in-law Brenda Cormier, widow of the late Edward Cormier; and many beloved extended family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives she touched.
