Donte Ortiz

Donte Ortiz, age 35, of Taunton, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Born in Stoughton, he was the son of Dimariz Ortiz and Eric Alston.

An avid “foodie”, he loved to cook anything food related and was passionate about finding new recipes to try out. He liked sports, especially watching his son play basketball. You could often find him listening to music and dancing anytime and anywhere. He has a good sense of fashion and loved dressing up and looking stylish. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Besides his mother, he leaves a son Donte Terrell Ortiz, Jr; a brother David Mendes; a sister Dimaray Ortiz; a grandmother, and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. Donte was preceded in death by his brother James "Dougie" Ortiz.

To honor the wishes of his family, all funeral services will be privately held.
