Edward Barkan

Edward Barkan , 86, of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his home.
Born in Taunton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Wacz) Barkon.
He served his country proudly with the United Stated Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Barkan worked as an electrical engineer at Raytheon for 30 years, before retiring. He enjoyed the stock market and going to the Raynham Dog Track.
Edward is survived by his sister, Helen Lounsbury, of Raynham, MA; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was also the brother of the late, Stella Torres, Walter, Joseph, and John Barkan.
According to his family’s wishes, Edward’s funeral services were private. Interment with military honors was held in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Taunton.
