Gregory A. Ward , 47, of East Providence, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 1, 2021.
Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of Marie Plourde Ward and the late Alan Ward.
Greg worked as a Furniture Delivery Specialist for several local reputable furniture stores throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, most recently for Cardi’s Furniture. He often would be heard saying his catchphrase “every truck has a brain and a muscle, and I am the muscle!”.
Affectionately known by several nicknames, G-40, G Money, or G Dawg. Greg enjoyed life to the fullest. He was the life of the party and could often be found with a 40 of St. Ides in his hand and was always smiling. A man who had a great sense of humor, he also enjoyed listening to music, especially early 1970’s-80’s music, or anything but country. Greg also loved singing karaoke, riding mopeds, and fishing.
Besides his mother, he leaves a daughter, Samantha M. Ward, and her companion, Halie Arpa; two sisters, Nadine Williams, and Fern Ward and their children; his companion, Susanna Grasso, his previous wife, Elaine Ward; a stepson, Jason Almeida; a stepdaughter, Krystal Almeida; and five step grandchildren, Hannah, Brayden, Jason Jr., Gabriel, and Jaxon.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of Gregory’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Service, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton, MA.
