Helen Irene (Kulpa) Karol

Helen I. Karol (Kulpa) 96, of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Marian Manor in Taunton. She was the wife of the late Theodore J. Karol.

Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Alojzy and Mary (Gula) Kulpa.

Helen worked as a nurse’s aide at Paul Dever State School and then worked at Reed & Barton for fifteen years before retiring.

She was very devoted to her catholic faith and was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Taunton for many years. Helen was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, assisted with the annual Polish Picnic, and was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club. Mrs. Karol enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Helen is survived by her two sons, David E. Karol of Waterford, CT, Dennis J. Karol of Montville, CT, and Patricia A. Anderson and her husband Don, of Estero, FL; five grandchildren, Nicole, Kelly, Benjamin, Bethany, and Allison; four great grandchildren, Alexa, Liam, Brielle, and Lilianna; a cousin, Sue Pasck and her daughter Amy, and her caregiver, Brenda Ward. She was the sister of the late Theodore Kulpa, Frederick Kulpa, and mother-in-law of the late Lorie Karol.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Helen’s family on Saturday , October 1, 2022, from 8:15 to 9:15 am, in the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, at Holy Rosary Church, 80 Bay Street, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
