James A. LaRaia

James A. LaRaia, age 47, of North Attleborough, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026. He was the companion of the late GeriLeigh Norrell.

Born in Boston, he was the son of Robert F. LaRaia and Beatrice (Reid) LaRaia; stepson of Kathleen LaRaia: brother of Robert LaRaia and his wife Janeen and Kerry Champagne; his children James “JJ” LaRaia, Brandon Hackett, Jr., and Giabella Deasatal. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members.

He graduated from Walpole High School and worked as a sheet metal worker for Local 17.

James had a dry sense of humor and enjoyed fishing, computer games, board games, and reading, especially about history.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a celebration of James’ life on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, at John Alden Sportsman’s Club, 16 Minuteman Lane, Plymouth, MA. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
