Muriel Ashley (Paquette) age 83, of Berkley, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Boston Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late Harold G. Ashley, former Chief of Police in the Town of Berkley.

Born and raised in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Germaine D. (LePage) Paquette.

She worked as a jewelry packager at Swank for many years. Muriel used to enjoy going to fairs with her late husband. She was known to be bubbly, feisty and cheerful. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Ashley was survived by her children, Deb Boynton of Berkley, Michael Ashley of Acushnet, Christine Bilodeau of Dighton, and Susan Andrade of Buzzards Bay; a sister Bernice Henderson of Mashpee; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the sister of the late Roland Paquette.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit Muriel’s family on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 am, at Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Fox Cemetery, Berkley.
