Pastor Robert R. McLaughlin

Pastor Robert R. McLaughlin, Sr ., age 69, of Seekonk, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Stella (Demonte) McLaughlin.

Pastor Robert R. McLaughlin was ordained in 1990 by the late Col. R. B. Thieme, Jr. of Berachah Church in Houston, Texas.

Pastor McLaughlin remains a significant voice of Christianity throughout the world. His diligent, expository teaching is based on the original languages of Scripture in light of the historical context in which the Bible was written. His innovative systems of vocabulary, illustrations, and biblical categories clearly communicate the infallible truths of God's Word. Pastor McLaughlin recorded thousands of hours of sermons and published hundreds of books and articles.

In the early 1980s, McLaughlin became pastor of East Bay Christian Center which included a Christian private K-12 school founded by Pastor McLaughlin called East Bay Christian Academy. He closed his private school in 1992 when he decided to follow the footsteps of his pastor and mentor, Pastor R. B. Thieme, Jr., aka "the Col.", to dedicate his time, talent, and treasure to fully and exclusively study and teach, study and teach, study and teach...

During this time, he founded Grace Bible Church where he continued to pastor until he went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. His extensive training in Greek, Hebrew, theology, history, and textual criticism provided the foundation for his demanding professional life of studying and teaching the Word of God. Pastor McLaughlin will continue to teach recorded online services, as he did from the pulpit of Grace Bible Church, Somerset, MA, for over 40 years of faithful service.

Pastor McLaughlin did not take lightly the Lord's command, "Feed my sheep." His doctrinal teachings and lessons, recorded throughout his ministry, are available in both audio and video format. His publications address various subjects including salvation, spirituality, the Christian way of life, the essence of God, biblical history, Satan and the angelic conflict, biblical prophecy, and many more doctrinal subjects. Some of his materials have been translated into Spanish. All of McLaughlin's material are available without charge or obligation so that anyone anywhere may have the opportunity to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." All of his material may be accessed within our Gbible app and Gbible.org website. Most of McLaughlin's books are available in hard copy print and we do ship within the United States free of charge.

He is survived by his three children, Samantha Medeiros and her husband John of Seekonk, Robert R. McLaughlin, Jr., of East Providence, RI, and Charles W. McLaughlin, of East Providence, RI; a brother, William McLaughlin; a sister, Dawn DeTora and her husband David; daughter in law, Wendy Keith; and his loving grandchildren, John-John Luis Medeiros, Alexxander Luis Medeiros, Rosalita Lelu Medeiros, Lilijana Bella Medeiros, Samuel Luis Medeiros, Calina Grace Medeiros, Claudia Alexandra McLaughlin, Angelina Charley McLaughlin, Charles Robert Raymond McLaughlin, and Justin Robert McLaughlin; and nephews, DJ David DeTora and Christopher DeTora.
