Pauline Ferguson

Pauline Sara Ferguson, age 72, of Taunton, passed away on July 6, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas Ferguson.

Born in Grant County, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Raymond F. LaPlante and Marjorie H. (Farrell) Stuart.

She enjoyed painting, horseback riding, card games, playing dice, board games, and doing arts and crafts. You could often find her with her Crown Red 100’s.

Pauline was a “people person” and will be remembered for being friendly, outgoing, and helping others.

She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Ferguso of Quincy and Katalina Joyce Vazquez-Barradas of New Bedford; a sister Joyce Lawson of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Manuel Rose Jr, Shawn Yarrell Jr, Emiliana Vazquez Barradas, and Luciana Vazquez Barradas; and great grandchildren, Jaivon and Juell Rose. Pauline was also the sister of the late Raymond F. LaPlante Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pauline’s family on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, in the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
