Shirley A. Correiro (St. Martin) age 81, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Brockton Post Acute Care in Brockton, MA.
Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eva (Arruda) St. Martin.
Shirley worked as a curtain maker at both Rennie Curtain Factory and Robinson Curtain Factory for many years.
Shirley was a wonderful mom and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She was an exceptional cook, and her Portuguese soup was something her family always looked forward to. She enjoyed going to thrift stores, holding yard sales, and watching and purchasing items from QVC. She especially loved going to the casino and playing her favorite slot machine, the “7’s.” She also enjoyed playing bingo and buying scratch tickets. Shirley was a huge Elvis fan and adored her cat, Sammy.
Shirley leaves her children, Debra J. Meack and her husband, Donald, of Taunton; Francis R. Correiro of Assonet; Christine M. Silveira and her husband, Orlando, of Taunton; and Gary S. Correiro of Taunton; her nine grandsons, Francis, Donald, Jared, Tyler, Seth, Evan, Dylan, Gary, and Cameron; many great-grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; her two brothers, Raymond St. Martin and William St. Martin; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Olivencia and her husband, Diego, who was like a sister to her. She was the sister of the late Mary St. Martin.
To honor Shirley’s wishes, funeral services were privately held.
Arrangements were entrusted to Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
