Teresa Ann “Terry” McCoy, of East Taunton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the age of 57 after a brief illness, with her family and friends by her side.
Born in Boston, Terry was a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School, Class of 1985. Known for her love of sports, she was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and New England Patriots. In her leisure time, she found joy in watching the television show E.R., cooking and taking care of her beloved family, and listening to the music of Stevie Nicks.
She had a huge heart and loved her family and friends deeply. Stubborn and driven until the end, Terry always fought tooth and nail even when the chips were down. Her ferocious and compassionate spirit will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Terry is survived by her husband Keith, their two children Matthew and Sean, as well as the family dog, Jasmine, who she lovingly referred to as “Dingle”. She also is survived by her sister Kathleen Burns and her husband Ron, her sister Jean, her sister Megan McCabe, as well as her brother Daniel and his wife Christy, and her brothers Robert and James. In addition, she is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews: Jessica Hernandez, of Pennsylvania, Samantha Keene of Seekonk, Arianna Burns of Dighton, Jamie Tarantul, of Florida, Caitlyn McCabe of East Taunton, and Emmaly, Tyler, Erin and Timothy McCabe, all of Raynham; her best friend of 42 years, Karyn "K" Snow of East Bridgewater; a brother and sister in law, Kevin and Debbie McCoy of Florida, their children Joel McCoy of New York and Amanda and Chris McCoy of Auburn; a sister-in-law Cynthia McCoy, along with her children Joshua and Jessica McCoy all of Middleboro; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Christina McCoy and Karl McCoy of Bridgewater.
She will be greeted in Heaven by her late niece and goddaughter Amanda Burns (1990-2019) as well as her parents Robert and Sally (Brackett) McCabe; her maternal grandparents William and Mary Brackett; her paternal grandparents John McCabe and Margaret McCabe; parents-in-law Frederi
