Gerald W. Gallant

Gerald W. Gallant “Gerry”, 69, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Joan M. (Murphy) Gallant, of Taunton. They would have celebrated 46 years of marriage on January 10th.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Gerald J. and Vivian B (Menard) Gallant.

Gerry worked as a general contractor for many years and owned Gallant Home Improvement. He loved birds, designing stained glass, collecting antiques, and enjoyed the outdoors. Mr. Gallant especially loved his yearly trips with the guys to Pembroke, Maine and attending family gatherings. He had a profound sense of humor and was often referred to as the life of the party.

In addition to his wife, Joan, he leaves his three loving children, Janice L. Kimball, and her husband, Timothy, of Uxbridge, Jeffrey W. Gallant,and his significant other, Jennifer Bagge of Taunton, and James F. Gallant, and his significant other, Tess Barros of Taunton; a sister, Dianne Yelle, and her husband, Jerry, of Taunton; a brother, Robert Gallant, of Taunton; and his eight grandchildren, Wiley Kimball, Eleanor Kimball, Aiden Gallant, Dylan Gallant, Makenzie Gallant, Logan Gallant, Kyle Gallant, and Chase Gallant.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Gerry’s family will have a celebration of life at a later date when it is safe to have a social gathering.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
