Jeffrey Brian Gill

February 7, 1961 — March 21, 2022

In loving memory of Jeffrey B. Gill of Brockton MA and Key West FL, having left this world at the age of 61. The son of the late Kenneth L. and Margaret A. (Berkeley) Gill, he enjoyed hiking, fishing, and four wheeling from DW Fields Park to Miles Standish State Forest. A stubborn, dependable, and resilient man, Jeff loved to help friends.

Known as the Evel Knievel of Construction, there was no ladder too high nor roof too pitched. Like his boyhood idol, he had broken nearly every bone in his body. Jeff, a “Freshwater Conch”, was very proud to do finish carpentry work on the Hemingway Home and to have refurbished the gingerbread trim on historic Duval Street.

As a boy, Jeff enjoyed camping with his family in North Conway, NH.  In addition to beach trips in the Keys, Jeff returned to the woods over the years with long-time partner Debra Good of Brockton and her son Robert “Bobby” Good. Jeff’s adoration of Bobby and his daughter Rachel was expressed with pride and evidenced by the well-worn pictures he showed others.

Jeff leaves behind his lifelong friend Tony LaBolita (Laurie), their daughter Terasa, and Jeff's godson Anthony; all of whom took care of him in his times of need and loved him dearly. Jeff is survived by his brother Christopher E. Gill (Lauren) of Norton MA, sister Melissa E Gill, and niece Rachel who will miss his Sunday afternoon visits in Rockland, MA. Godfather to Nicholas A. Gill of Norton, MA Jeff also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jeff’s sister Diane M. Pittman and his brother Kenneth L. Gill, Jr. predecease him.

According to his wishes, a celebration of life will be held in Key West, FL on a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, of Taunton.
