Obituary

John R. Gay (82) passed away May 10th after a brief illness.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Jessie (Holloway) Gay and Stanley Joseph Gay.  He served four years in the U.S. Navy after which he was employed at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for over 30 years as a manufacturing manager.  John was an avid reader and card player, enjoyed travel, and spending time with family and friends.  He is survived by his wife Ann, son John Andrew Gay (Surprise, AZ), and Leah Ann (Gay) Kane of Santa Cruz, CA who predeceased him; daughter in law Donna Lyons and granddaughter Ashlyn Grace Gay both of Surprise, AZ; sister Joan Brindle of Orlando, FL and her husband Robert, brother Stanley J. Gay, Jr. of Taunton, father in law Edward J. Lynch of Taunton, aunt Mary Iwanicki of Taunton, sister in law Theresa Moniz and husband Lawrence of Raynham and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

To honor his family’s wishes, a memorial gathering, and graveside service will be held in September.
