Obituary

Luis A. Rios-Sanchez, 68, of Taunton, passed away on February 15, 2023 at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Born in Manati, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Victor Manuel Rios-Castro and Carmen Sanchez-Maisone.

He was a self-employed electrician in Puerto Rico for many years.

A loving father, grandfather, and companion with a loving soul. He was truly a family man, always doing what was necessary for his family and friends. Luis was the greatest fisherman and a man of trade. There was not anything he would not try to fix. He was stubborn with a sense of humor but “one of a kind”. He will be missed deeply but never forgotten.

Luis is survived by his companion of 30 years, Carmen M. Rivera-Gonzalez, his son’s, Luis A. Rios, Jose Rodriguez-Rivera, and Jose Rodriguez-Rivera; his daughters, Maria De Los Milagros-Rios, and Wanda Rodriguez; two brothers, Victor Rios-Sanchez and William Rios-Sanchez; two sisters, Rosa Rios-Sanchez and Maria Rios-Sanchez; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

To honor the wishes of his family, all local funeral services were privately held. A celebration of life and interment will be held in Puerto Rico at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
