Brockton, Massachusetts - Mary Ann Yorkoski O’Connell, born on July 1, 1943, daughter of the late Joseph P. and Irene (Gorczyca) Yorkoski. After a long illness, Mary Ann was taken to be with our Lord in heaven, at 8:30 am on July 20, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Fortier and son-in-law, Travis Fortier of Taunton, Massachusetts, her brother Joseph P. Yorkoski, Jr. of Homestead, Florida, her grandson, Ian O’Connell of Taunton, Massachusetts, her niece, Amy Everitt of Key West, Florida, and several cousins.

A native of Brockton, Massachusetts, Mary Ann graduated Brockton High School in the class of 1961 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1965 from Stonehill College, Easton, Massachusetts. She was a retired elementary school teacher and telephone operator.  In retirement she was a dedicated volunteer at the Brockton Public Library.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Mary Ann's Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:00 am, in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, 19 Kilmer Avenue, Taunton, MA. Interment will be privately held.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
